Is it ok to play favorites?

Parents shouldn’t have them right? Being an artists doesn’t mean I love all that I create.  Actually the opposite can be true sometimes as there could be a real struggle with the making of a piece.  Some just come together effortlessly. Such joy in the making. I actually started this painting a couple of years ago. I recently picked it up from a gallery who had it and there was some ware and tear.  So I started painting on it.  What ended up happening is that I repainted the entire painting and made some design changes too. I spent many days adding layers of glaze.  This painting sings now! What do you think?
