“Americana-Folk never sounded so sweet.”

This mixed media painting was created during a live performance by The Salty Sweets on the Saloon Stage at the Sawdust Art Festival.

Drawn directly from movement and sound in real time, the piece was completed without pause or correction. Each mark responds to the rhythm, posture, and energy unfolding on stage, capturing presence rather than precision.

Working on watercolor paper, the figure emerged through instinct and observation. Layered materials and visible marks remain integral to the composition. What remains is the trace of the moment itself. Gesture. Balance. Breath. The exchange between music and motion.

Created as an 11 x 14 mixed media work on watercolor paper, this piece holds the immediacy and honesty that only live performance can offer. A quiet record of movement, intuition, and being fully present with what is happening in real time.
