I enjoy teaching and would love for you to join me in a fun and friendly atmosphere! I am thrilled with the success my students achieve with each class. I teach in person at the Sawdust Art Festival as well as online.

For a while now I have wanted to create a safe space for women to come together, reduce stress and create together. I have a process where we can transform the stress of our lives into something beautiful.

Join in the adventure of creating abstract art by sheer intuition. Like dancing, you'll find your own rhythm utilizing different textures,  materials, colorful mediums and tools. 

We will explore oil pastels, acrylic paint, specialty papers, graphite, charcoal, and inks. So many different items to choose from. You will also have some of Michelle's women and dancer drawings available to embed along with her poems and quotes.

I would be honored for you to join me!

All levels are welcome.
Each artist will complete a beautiful, 16" x 20"unique abstract that will inspire you all year long.

"Painting dancers like water, fluid and inspiring" -M.S. Burt

Join me to experience the magical connection between shape and movement as we paint a beautiful, classical ballerina.

We will have exercises in the beginning to loosen up. Warm up is usually in charcoal on newsprint with longer poses in the medium of your choice.
There will be step-by-step demonstrations with lots of individual attention. Various supplies will be available: charcoals, pastels, acrylic, inks, brushes and various papers to explore. We will have 5-10-15 minute poses and possibly longer as needed. All levels are welcome.

You will come away with 6-8 drawings. Experience the graceful elegance of a live ballerina as you capture her essence with art.
